Blake And Bird Poop Highlight The Weekend

The two best stories from this past weekend have nothing to do with sports, and since we're still in that slow sports period until football arrives, I'm going to lead with them. First, Blake Lively who hasn't been featured in Hot Clicks in a while, attended Comic-Con in grand fashion. Second, Kings of Leon had to cancel a concert after performing just three songs because birds were pooping on them. Obviously, this did not go ever well with the crowd.

What Did Ron Artest Do This Weekend?

He crashed an adult dodgeball league in Hollywood, Calif., and joined Team Zankou for their match. As you would expect, the videos from the event are outstanding.

A+ For Creavtivity

This Dodgers fan was not content with just printing out his ticket and showing up to last Friday's game. Instead, he printed out his ticket on a 3 X 5 banner. A THREE FEET BY FIVE FEET BANNER!

Dez Says No

Cowboys rookie wide receiver Dez Bryant is already making waves at camp. He recently refused to carry Roy Williams' pads, which didn't go over well with Williams. Quite frankly, I applaud Bryant. Over the past three season, Williams has recorded 19, 17, and 38 catches. He should carry his own damn pads.

EA Staying Busy

Erin Andrews discusses a variety of topics in this lengthy interview with a Florida Gators blogs. She also gives out some fantasy football advice while patiently dealing with a very persistent TMZ cameraman.

Sports Video Of The Day

This accident took place over the weekend at Formula Truck Interlagos (a Brazilian motorsport series, where truck tractor units compete). Both drivers ended up walking away from the crash. (Thanks to Markus Nachtigall, of Porto Alegre, Brazil, for the link.)

Commercial Of The Day

At first, I was skeptical. But now I think I may order some Trongs, which would actually be very helpful during football season when you want to eat your snacks. But keep your hands clean so you can work the remote, check your fantasy stats, and place your wagers.
