Many of us are itching for the football season to start. Things take a big step in that direction this weekend when the first preseason game of 2010 takes place Sunday night at 8 p.m. ET on NBC between the Bengals and Cowboys. But you may want to tune in at 7 to catch the EA Sports Madden NFL 10 Pigskin Pro-Am. Why? Because you can watch Maria Menounos and Stacy Keibler in action. Oh, yeah, the game also features Joe Montana, Jerry Rice and Kurt Warner, but who cares about them when you have Maria Menounos and Stacy Keibler. And while I don't want to ruin the suspense for you, the game was taped last week, and Menounos came away with MVP honors.
Pitcock's Pitfall
Seattle Seahawks defensive lineman Quinn Pitcock is returning to the NFL after a two-year absence. The reason he was away from the game? He was addicted to video games.
Minor League Baseball Promotion Of The Day
The New York Mets Class-A affiliate, the Savannah Sand Gnats, are offering fans a chance to set a man on fire after an upcoming game. No, Mets fans, you can't set Omar Minaya, Jerry Manuel or Jeff Wilpon on fire. The guy getting torched has some experience in this unique area.

Umpire Bob Davidson made this controversial call in Thursday's Phillies-Marlins game. The commentary by the announcers is priceless. (Thanks to Brett Lockwood, of Toronto, for the tip.)

The Results Are In
In Thursday's A.M. Hot Clicks, I asked you to vote on which athlete you liked the least. After nearly 28,000 votes, Alex Rodriguez came in first with 42 percent of the votes. LeBron James finished second at 37 percent. And Brett Favre brought up the rear at 21 percent. Sources have told me A-Rod was so upset by the poll results that he had to hang out with Cameron Diaz and Gwyneth Paltrow yesterday to cheer himself up.

Song Of The Day
Yes, the LeBron James ship has sailed, but I had to include this. Hot Clicks had featured the site InLeBronWeTrust.com in the past because it featured people doing various challenges in hopes of getting LeBron to stay in Cleveland. Well, once LeBron bolted for Miami, the site because InLeBronWeTrusted.com. And they're still doing challenges, which includes the song below.

Cartoon Of The Day
Here's an inside look at the relationship between Chad Ochocinco and Terrell Owens.
