Top recruit Seantrel Henderson finally signs letter with USC

Top recruit Seantrel Henderson has finally signed his letter of intent to play at USC, according to his father, Sean. The 6-foot-8, 330-pound offensive lineman faxed his paperwork to USC just after 3 p.m. CST Tuesday.

Henderson, the nation's top offensive lineman and the No. 1 prospect for much of last year according to Rivals.com, ends a prolonged recruiting saga that extended more than a month beyond Signing Day. Henderson committed to the Trojans and new coach Lane Kiffin on Signing Day, but didn't sign because of an ongoing NCAA investigation. Though the NCAA's infractions committee has yet to issue a ruling in the USC case, Henderson was satisfied enough with the current state of the program to send in his paperwork, making his commitment official.

Henderson was one of the most coveted recruits in the nation, capping off a season in which he won the Anthony Munoz Award as the nation's top lineman and played in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl. The star out of Cretin-Derham High in Paul, Minn., narrowed his final list of schools to Florida, Miami, Minnesota, Notre Dame, Ohio State and USC.
