The Rockets' courtship of Chris Bosh has begun. Early Thursday, a Twitter post from Rockets general manager Daryl Morey said: "Just finished meeting with @chrisbosh - great player & person. He is about winning so I focused on how w/Houston he can win a championship." (Houston Chronicle) Comment

Valentine insulted by Marlins courtship

Bobby Valentine didn't have anything nice to say about his aborted courtship with the Marlins for the managerial position, saying ``it's very disturbing, confusing, and it was insulting at times. But it's over.'' ``If this is a major-league process, I hope I'm never in the process again,'' Valentine said Tuesday. (Miami Herald) Comment

Chargers' Jackson faces four-game ban

Lost, at times, in the contractual dispute between the Chargers and receiver Vincent Jackson is the fact that Jackson faces a suspension in the wake of a pair of DUI incidents.
