Leino headlines Monday's Three Stars

1. Ville Leino, Flyers. The former Finnish league scoring champ had two points on the night, including a sure-handed deflection of a Chris Pronger blast 6:41 into the first that proved to be the game-winner. But it was a single, remarkable shift midway through the second that was the highlight of the night's action. With the Flyers nursing that one-goal lead, Leino put on a clinic of win-or-go-home desire. He won the draw, carried the puck into the Bruins zone, worked the cycle, attempted three shots and won four separate battles for the puck against hapless Boston defenders. Daniel Briere and Kimmo Timonen both touched the puck before Scott Hartnell finally batted it past Tuukka Rask for the insurance marker, but that goal never would have happened without this desperate individual effort.

2. Mike Cammalleri, Canadiens. Just 73 seconds in, he gave the Habs the quick start they needed, finishing off a nifty give-and-go with Tomas Plekanec with a wrister that beat Marc-Andre Fleury's high glove. But his second goal might have been even prettier -- and more important. With the team reeling after a Kris Letang softie somehow eluded Jaroslav Halak, Cammalleri reversed the momentum with a spectacular backhander that tied the game at two midway through the second period. He buzzed the net all night and had a couple of spectacular chances to complete the hat trick thwarted near the end of the second, but still ended the evening as the leading scorer of the playoffs with 11.

3. Michael Leighton, Brian Boucher, Flyers. No team went through more drama between the pipes than the Flyers this year, so it was no surprise that they were able to shrug off the latest bout, even with their season on the line. Boucher started the contest, as he has the last 21, and held the Bruins scoreless until a goal mouth scramble ended with his leg twisted awkwardly underneath him. In came Leighton for his first action since going on the IR back on March 16. Fourteen stops later, he'd maintained the shutout and guided the Flyers back to Philly. With Boucher's status up in the air, Leighton is likely to be handed the reins for Game 6.
