| 2010 NFL Mock Draft 5.0 (cont.) |

 |
ILB |
Rolando McClain |
Alabama |
Jr. |
6-4 |
258 |
(BRONCOS ACQUIRED PICK FROM BEARS) With Brandon Marshall looking like he'll be a Bronco again this season,
Denver's chances of selecting Dez Bryant take a nosedive. With the Broncos having rebuilt their defensive line in free
agency, getting an active presence like McClain at inside linebacker is a no-brainer.

NT |
Dan Williams |
Tennessee |
Sr. |
6-2 |
329 |
|
The Dolphins could be tempted by Texas outside linebacker Sergio Kindle (it seems everyone's getting a Kindle these
days), but the run-stuffing Williams allows Miami to contemplate life beyond Jason Ferguson.
|
| 13 |
 |
CB |
Joe Haden |
Florida |
Jr. |
5-11 |
190 |
|
The 49ers are fortunate that the draft's top-rated cornerback falls to them in part because No. 7 Cleveland traded for
Sheldon Brown last week. Haden fills a major need in San Francisco, and the 49ers still have the 17th pick to address
one of their holes on offense, either at right tackle or running back.

 |
RB |
C.J. Spiller |
Clemson |
Sr. |
5-11 |
195 |
(SEAHAWKS ACQUIRED PICK FROM BRONCOS) The Seahawks have a clear need for a defensive end who can generate pass rush
(Georgia Tech's Derrick Morgan remains available), but Spiller's speed and home run capability is too special to pass
on. You've got to score to beat Arizona in the NFC West, and Pete Carroll opts to give his offense some much-needed
firepower.

 |
OLB |
Sean Weatherspoon |
Missouri |
Sr. |
6-2 |
245 |
|
With the coveted McClain gone, the Giants shift their focus to Weatherspoon to fill their need at inside linebacker. This is
higher than we've had Weatherspoon going in previous mocks, but he can play both inside and outside linebacker. New York
is not stretching to give him a mid-round grade.

 |
DE |
Derrick Morgan |
Georgia Tech |
Jr. |
6-4 |
272 |
|
The Titans find themselves in perfect position to address their greatest need, taking Morgan, the draft's safest pick when it
comes to 4-3 ends. The key to Morgan lasting this long and ending up a Titan will be the direction Seattle goes with its No.
14 pick.

 |
G-OT |
Mike Iupati |
Idaho |
Sr. |
6-5 |
325 |
(49ERS ACQUIRED PICK FROM PANTHERS) The 49ers believe the former Idaho guard can make a smooth transition to right
offensive tackle in the NFL. A pass-rusher like Brandon Graham or a running back like Ryan Mathews will be
tempting, but San Francisco will think need first and make Iupati the choice.
|

 |
CB |
Kyle Wilson |
Boise State |
Sr. |
5-10 |
186 |
|
The Steelers have to step up their coverage skills in a division where the passing games appear to be on the upswing. Wilson
is the draft's second-highest rated cornerback, and his value gets the nod over an interior offensive lineman like Florida
center-guard Maurkice Pouncey.
|
| 19 |
 |
DE-OLB |
Brandon Graham |
Michigan |
Sr. |
6-1 |
263 |
|
I think the Falcons have been locked in on Graham ever since they added cornerback Dunta Robinson in free agency, and
he'll fit somewhere in a front seven that needs to upgrade its pass rush. But the Falcons' greatest concern may be No. 22 New
England, which also covets Graham and has the firepower to go up and get him (to No. 17 San Francisco?) with those three
second-round picks.
|
| 20 |
 |
RB |
Ryan Mathews |
Fresno State |
Jr. |
5-11 |
220 |
|
The Texans running game needs an infusion of talent and Mathews is the draft's second-best option, behind Clemson's Spiller.
Cornerback or defensive tackle are other options for Houston, but Mathews combines solid first-round value with immediate
impact potential.
