Chien-Ming Wang, has agreed in principal to a one-year contract with the Washington Nationals, SI.com has learned.
Pending a physical, the deal will pay Wang $4 million in 2012.
The right-hander, who spent the better part of two years recovering from shoulder surgery, made 11 starts for the Nationals last season, going 4-3 with a 4.04 ERA, 25 strikeouts and 13 walks.
Wang is currently in Taiwan, pitching for the Chinese Taipei national team.
