DOVER, Del. (AP) -- Major League Baseball is staying neutral in the fight between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Fox Sports as the team works to emerge from bankruptcy.

The league's pledge to remain neutral is included in a settlement agreement reached last month with the Dodgers and filed in Delaware bankruptcy court late Tuesday.

The agreement calls for a sale of the Dodgers, including television rights to games starting in 2014 and Dodgers stadium.

Fox objects to the proposed media rights sale, saying it would violate its rights under an existing contract with the Dodgers.

The league and the team hope to have initial bids by Jan. 13, and the sale completed by April 30.

The agreement prohibits Dodgers owner Frank McCourt from having any interest in the team after the sale.
