On the heels of the item in Thursday's P.M. Hot Clicks about the Anaheim Angels' fantastic promotions and giveaways, David Zumstein, of Milwaukee, alerts us that the Brewers are actually giving one fan -- who has purchased or renewed season ticket packages of 20 games or more for the upcoming season -- a chance to sign a one-day contract with the team, which will also include a uniform and a day's Major League salary.

Miami (OH) defeated Middle Tennessee, 35-21, in the GoDaddy.com Bowl Thursday night. The win completed the biggest turnaround in college football history as the RedHawks went from 1-11 in 2009 to 10-4 in 2010. After seeing the awesome pregame speech delivered by Miami coach Lance Guidry, no one should be surprised by what the team pulled off.

Remember earlier in the college football season when Ohio State president E. Gordon Gee caused a stir by arrogantly dismissing small schools, saying they don't deserve to play in BCS bowls and referring to teams like TCU as "the little sisters of the poor."
