Notice how former Jets linebacker Vernon Gholston is doing nothing in the picture above? Well, it cost him $9 million. The Jets' first-round pick in 2008 needed just one sack, one forced fumble or one fumble recovery last season to earn a $9 million escalator clause in his contract.
