End Of An Era
Jason, of Edmonton, says, "On Tuesday night Rod Phillips called his final NHL hockey game for the Edmonton Oilers after 37 years of broadcasting for the team. He is a member of the Hockey Hall of Fame and a legend in the city of Edmonton. The Oilers had a ceremony where they retired his 'number' (the number of games he announced) besides the likes of Gretzky, Kurri, Fuhr and Coffey. They also had a pregame ceremony and the video can be found on the Oilers website. The link I'm attaching has audio of some of the best of; during his career. It would be great for you to mention this in Hot Clicks and let the rest of North America know about what a beauty Rod was."
