The Cardinals run a promotion in which fans at the game get a dozen Krispy Kreme doughnuts for $2.99 when the team gets nine more hits. Last night, against the Reds, St. Louis recorded nine hits. This prompted Cincinnati second baseman Brandon Phillips to Tweet, "Since the #cards got 9 hits tonight, can someone hook me up with some Krispy Kreme Doughnuts for $2.99? I saw the promotion at the game. LOL" Sure enough, the Cardinals marketing department hooked up Phillips.

A bunch of NFL players along with a bunch of actors made a Funny or Die video that combines Field of Dreams with the lockout. Also featured in the video is actress Marielle Jaffe. Many of you have already written in to nominate her for LLOD honors. As always, though, Hot Clicks is way ahead of the game. She was given the honor in late April.
