Why the Steelers will win: Ben Roethlisberger, the tree trunk, is better suited to take the hits the quarterbacks will take in this game and
keep on ticking.
My personal guarantee for the game: With all these defensive playmakers on both teams, there will be at least one touchdown scored by the
defense.

Why the Packers will win: I started the Super Bowl fortnight believing the Steelers would somehow find a way to win thanks to their edge in
Super Bowl experience. But the closer we get to Sunday, the more I'm convinced the Packers passing game will spread out the Pittsburgh defense and
consistently put points on the board. Stopping A-Rod indoors is no easy feat.
My personal guarantee for the game: The Packers defense will pick off Ben Roethlisberger at least twice, and a year/season that started so
poorly for the Steelers quarterback will end in disappointment as well. |

Why the Steelers will win: They have more experience, and a quarterback who can break down a defense because of his ability to extend plays
with his size, strength and mobility. Also, Mike Tomlin is one of the great motivators, and he'll have plenty of ammunition at his disposal: Pittsburgh being
the underdog, the league treating the Steelers as if they're a dirty team, talk that QB Ben Roethlisberger wasn't liked by his teammates.
My personal guarantee for the game: Neither team will lead by more than a touchdown.

Why the Steelers will win: I think Pittsburgh's defense, given two weeks of preparation, will have a strong game plan to take Aaron Rogers
out of his comfort zone and make him look a bit more human. Pittsburgh has the better running game which will be the difference in the fourth quarter.
My personal guarantee for the game: James Harrison will have least one helmet-to-helmet hit.

Why the Packers will win: The Steelers deserve terrific respect for their experience and toughness. But they're playing this game with Maurkice Pouncey either injured or out and Troy Polamalu clearly at far less than 100 percent. The Packers are younger and faster. When this starts, it's going to look like a changing of the guard and we might see Green Bay here a few more times in rapid succession.
My personal guarantee for the game: The Packers will not even try to run the ball. It will be modern football. Spread 'em out, throw it around, mix in some draws and screens. And they will lay a track meet on the Steelers.

Why the Steelers will win: Pittsburgh's historically stiff run defense will make Green Bay one dimensional, forcing Aaron Rodgers to
shoulder the load on offense against the No. 2 pass defense in football (73.8 Defensive Passer Rating). The Packers passer is one of the big stories of the
year and the highest-rated passer in history (98.4 rating). But he has struggled against the elite pass defenses he's faced this year.
My personal guarantee for the game: A big play out of
the Steelers defense will provide the winning margin. It's just how they roll in Pittsburgh.

Why the Packers will win: Because of the excellent pass-rush both teams feature, each quarterback will be forced to make many throws under
duress. But the Steelers are weak at cornerback, while the Packers have playmakers at the position, so expect Charles Woodson, Tramon Williams and company to
take advantage and be the difference.
My personal guarantee for the game: The combined rushing yards for both teams will not exceed 120 yards.

Why the Packers will win: Experience hasn't been a major factor in recent Super Bowls. The Packers are similar to last season's Saints.
Although these teams are evenly matched, Green Bay is just a bit more motivated, while the Steelers simply expect to win.
My personal guarantee for the game: The Packers will allow the Steelers to make a late run. Ben Roethlisberger will catch fire in the fourth
quarter, but it will be too late.
