2012 Team Recruiting Rankings
Alabama own the top '12 class after converting former Auburn commit T.J. Yeldon
Ohio State climbed into the top five after securing Noah Spence and Tommy Schutt
Florida moved to No. 6 with the addition of junior college lineman Junior Salt
With the commitment of blue-chip running back T.J. Yeldon (Daphne, Ala.) over the weekend, Alabama captured the top spot in the 247Sports' team recruiting rankings. The Crimson Tide now boast three five-star recruits -- the most in the nation -- pushing them past Texas as the new No. 1 class.
They're not the only program making moves. Urban Meyer gained the commitment of defensive end Noah Spence (Bishop McDevitt, Pa.) on Sunday, a landmark victory for Ohio State recruiting. Since taking over in Columbus on Nov. 28, Meyer has locked up Spence, Tommy Schutt and Se'Von Pittman, giving the Buckeyes at top five 2012 haul. Before his hire, Ohio State was on the fringe of the Top 25. Now, it's on the cusp of a top three national pull.
Florida moved to No. 7 after adding JUCO lineman Junior Salt, and LSU, Oklahoma and Notre Dame round out the Top 10. With the New Year around the corner, here's how things stand.
