France's Chappuis wins fourth straight World Cup event
SEEFELD, Austria (AP) -- Nordic combined World Cup champion Jason Lamy Chappuis stretched his unbeaten streak to four events Sunday by winning a Gundersen 10-kilometer competition.
The Frenchman won similar events in Seefeld on Saturday and in Ramsau, Austria, last week - and also claimed the team sprint title with Sebastien Lacroix on Friday.
Lamy Chappuis was seventh after the jumps going into the cross country Sunday and finished in 27 minutes, 41.9 seconds to beat Italy's Alessandro Pittin by 3.9 seconds.
Joergen Graabak of Norway was third, and Bernhard Gruber of Austria finished fourth.
In the overall standings, Lamy Chappuis leads with 554 points, 173 clear of Tino Edelmann of Germany.
The Nordic combined World Cup continues in Schonach, Germany on Jan. 7-8.
