Olympian Boudia wins U.S. 10-meter diving title
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) David Boudia has won the men's 10-meter competition, while Kelci Bryant and Abby Johnston have won the women's synchronized 3-meter title in closing out the USA Diving Winter National Championships.
All three, along with Thomas Finchum, qualified Thursday for the FINA World Cup.
Boudia of Noblesville and West Lafayette, Ind., earned six 10s on his final dive to take gold. The 2008 Olympian had a three-list total of 1599.90 points to win his 16th career national title. Finchum, another 2008 Olympian, was second with 1576.70 points. Matt Cooper was third.
Bryant, of Chatham, Ill., and Minneapolis, and Johnston, of Columbus, Ohio, and Durham, N.C., scored 651.60 on two lists in edging Christina Loukas and Kassidy Cook (638.82) for the national title.
