SAO PAULO (AP) -- The Brazilian football federation says Real Madrid players Kaka and Marcelo have been dropped from Brazil's squad for upcoming friendlies against Gabon and Egypt.

Both players sustained muscle injuries while playing for the Spanish club and will not recover in time for the friendlies.

Brazil will visit Gabon on Thursday in Libreville and then will play Egypt on Nov. 14 in Doha, Qatar.

The federation also said Sunday that Bayern Munich player Luiz Gustavo won't play against Gabon because he couldn't get proper vaccination in time to enter that country. He will join the squad for the match against Egypt.
