1. Devin Setoguchi, Sharks: A playoff hat trick completed by netting the game-winning goal in overtime? What is this, Youngblood? It was definitely Setoguchi's night, even considering the inspired play of his centerman Joe Thornton, who tallied assists on all of Setoguchi's goals. But, good passes are just that unless someone hits paydirt. On Wednesday, Setoguchi was money as the finisher.

2. Sean Bergenheim, Lightning: Like Setoguchi, Bergenheim's star status was the culmination of the work with linemates Dominic Moore and Steve Downie. Bergenheim potted two goals and his linemates each assisted on both. That's collective contribution defined. Still, Bergenheim made them go, battling hard in front and firing seven shots on goal as the Lightning completed an impressive sweep of the top-seeded Capitals.

3. Zdeno Chara, Bruins: In a pivotal game, the captain led the way with a goal in the opening minute. He also netted the Bruins' first power-play goal of the postseason, so Chara's individual efforts helped erase any potential negatives the group may have endured. With two goals and an assist, Chara led by example and helped the Bruins roll to a 3-0 series lead. They've worked a calendar year to get back to this spot and atone for blowing a 3-0 series lead to the Flyers last season. Chara's statement performance in Game 3 indicated history is unlikely to repeat itself.
