SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. (AP) - Danny Marzo hit a game-winning homer in the eighth inning and Petaluma, Calif., beat Parsippany, N.J., 5-4 on Monday to move on at the Little League World Series.

The 12-year-old Marzo drove an 0-1 pitch to the grassy hill beyond the right-field wall, setting off a wild celebration after California blew a two-run lead.

Marzo was mobbed by giddy teammates who charged out to the plate as soon he hit the ball.

New Jersey pushed across two runs in the sixth to tie it at 4. Emil Matti homered and David Ton had an RBI single.

The team from New Jersey was urged on by a boisterous contingent of fans who made the short trip to central Pennsylvania from the New York suburbs.
