TORONTO (AP) -- The Toronto Raptors have signed guard Ben Uzoh to a 10-day contract.
He joined the team Tuesday a day after guard Jerryd Bayless aggravated a hip injury during a loss to Orlando. The left hip pointer had kept him out of the previous two games.
Uzoh had been in the NBA D-League. The 6-foot-3 player from the University of Tulsa averaged 14.8 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.9 assists in 20 games for the Rio Grande Valley Vipers.
This is Uzoh's second stint in the NBA this season. He signed a 10-day contract with Cleveland on Feb. 10. He spent last season with New Jersey after signing as a free agent. He averaged 3.8 points, 1.5 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 42 games.
The Raptors (16-34) host Denver on Wednesday night.
