CLEVELAND (AP) -- Guard Lester Hudson has signed a second 10-day contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers, one day after scoring a career-high 26 points in an overtime loss to New Jersey.
Hudson is averaging 24.5 points in his last two games. He scored 23 with seven assists on Friday, helping the Cavs end a nine-game losing streak despite being without three injured starters. On Sunday, he made six 3-pointers, including one in the final seconds of regulation to force OT, prompting Cavs owner Dan Gilbert to tweet "Lesanity!" Hudson scored 18 in the fourth quarter.
Hudson, who was selected in the second round by Boston in 2009, is filling in at point guard while Kyrie Irving, the NBA's likely rookie of the year, recovers from a sprained right shoulder.
