LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) -- Kentucky coach John Calipari and the national champion Wildcats will visit President Barack Obama and the White House on Friday to celebrate the school's eighth title.

Calipari says the first thing the players said in the moments after beating Kansas 67-59 last month was that they were headed to the White House.

Calipari says he's excited his players will get a chance to meet Obama. Kentucky has seven players departing from this year's squad including all five starters - freshmen Anthony Davis, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and Marquis Teague and sophomores Terrence Jones and Doron Lamb.
