GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) -- No. 10 Florida has reinstated point guard Scottie Wilbekin, ending his suspension after three games.
Coach Billy Donovan announced Wilbekin's return Friday, saying the 6-foot-2 junior will be available against Middle Tennessee on Sunday in Tampa.
Wilbekin missed games against Georgetown, Alabama State and No. 22 Wisconsin. The Gators (2-0) haven't divulged what Wilbekin did, but said it wasn't criminal or an NCAA violation. Donovan said information was brought to him Nov. 8 that warranted a suspension.
Wilbekin averaged 2.3 points last season playing behind Erving Walker. With Walker gone, Wilbekin was expected to play a much bigger role this season.
It's unclear when he or if Wilbekin will regain his starting spot. Senior guards Kenny Boynton and Mike Rosario shared ball-handling duties in the first three games.
