Baylor women have 4 early signees
WACO, Texas (AP) - Defending national champion Baylor has signed four players to national letters of intent for next season, including the top-ranked high school players from Texas and Tennessee, and the younger sister of one of the Lady Bears' current starters.
Coach Kim Mulkey says the signees give the Lady Bears a class with size, speed and athleticism that will allow them to continue to compete for championships.
The Lady Bears signed two guards from Texas. Imani Wright, from Hooks, is the top-ranked player in the state. Breanna Hayden from Dallas is the younger sister of Baylor senior Kimetria Hayden.
Forward Nina Davis from Memphis is the top-ranked player from Tennessee, and 6-foot-4 post Khadijiah Cave averaged a double-double as a junior in Augusta, Ga.
