South Dakota State beats Dakota State 83-52

BROOKINGS, S.D. (AP) - Jordan Dykstra had 21 points and a career-high 12 rebounds to lead South Dakota State to an 83-52 win over Dakota State on Thursday night.

Tony Fiegen scored a career-high 17 points and grabbed six rebounds. Brayden Carlson and Chad White had 10 apiece for the Jackrabbits (7-3).

Dakota State scored first and opened an early 11-5 lead, but the Jackrabbits responded with a 17-1 run and would lead 35-25 at halftime. Dykstra scored eight points early in the second half to give the Jackrabbits a 43-27 lead. Their biggest lead was 32.

South Dakota State shot a season-high 60 percent from the field for the game, making 34 of 56 shots. Dakota State shot 38 percent from the field, making 18 of 47.

Luke Lamb had 14 points and five rebounds for the Trojans. Yusuf Vinson had 11 points and five rebounds.

Dakota State (7-1) plays in the NAIA.
