MADRID (AP) - The Spanish cycling federation has elected as president the man who supplied Alberto Contador with the beef the cyclist said caused him to be stripped of the 2010 Tour de France title.

Jose Lopez Cerron said he bought the meat in Spain that Contador ate on a Tour rest day in France.

Contador's claim that his positive test for the stimulant clenbuterol was because of the beef was rejected by the Court of Arbitration for Sport. Losing the 2010 title leaves the Spaniard with two victories in cycling's premier race.

The 56-year-old Cerron was also director of team Banesto, now Movistar, and currently heads the organization of the Vuelta a Castilla y Leon in Spain.

His Spanish federation term is four years.
