During last night's Clippers-Hornets game, New Orleans center Jason Smith tried to stop Blake Griffin on a fast break and channeled his inner Troy Polamalu. The best part of this is listening to the different reactions from each team's broadcast. The Clippers' broadcasters were livid, saying things like, "How about going over and saying 'Blake, how ya doin, bud. I'm sorry," and "It's like a linebacker taking out a tight end who doesn't see him coming," and "There's just not place in the NBA for a play like that." The New Orleans announcers were a little tamer. They said: "The fact that he didn't let him get in the air to foul him, so it means Blake wasn't gonna get injured so badly, and "I don't think he made a play on the ball," which was basically the equivalent of saying "I don't think the Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries marriage lasted that long."
