Call Me Maybe Mashup Video Of The Day
Before you get angry and send me a nasty e-mail about another
Call Me Maybe video in Hot Clicks, you have to read the genius/creativeness/ridiculousness of this e-mail (presented exactly how it was written to me) and understand that I had no choice but to post it.
Dragos, of Algonquin for "Gathering Place," (whatever the hell that is) said, "Don't know how old you Hot Clickers are, but I am 32 and half of this mashup was released when I was 17. My music listening wheelhouse, and damnit (sic), the song was that. Heard
Semi-Charmed Life on DC-101 when I was in the District for the fourth iteration of my rotisserie league draft, and I was hooked. (We're on Year 19, now, by the by.) Had that white-boy rappy feel, though not as derivative as Vanilla Ice, nor as kitschy as Beck. 3EB was like Bloodhound Gang, if Bloodhound Gang could have been banging models and was played by Volvo-driving soccer moms. (Which would be, in today's parlance, Maroon 5?) It was good... to my senior high ears and today, I heard "Semi-Charmed Call" and fell in love again. (For the third time, really. "Jumper" deployed in 30 Minutes or Less was the t--s, as well. 'Cause, yes, that song does mean a lot to me. It means when I used to have friends, and before those friends became cranky drunks, moral-less and rudder-less.)"
Honestly, I have no idea what the hell half of that e-mail means, but the video below is
Semi-Charmed Life mashed up with
Call Me Maybe.
