Rangers pitcher Ryan Dempster, who has quickly realized life in the AL isn't as easy as life in the NL, missed his start Saturday for what was listed as "personal reasons." That phrase could mean a lot of serious things. However, that wasn't the case this time. Dempster couldn't take the hill in Toronto because he didn't have his passport.
This Is Not A Joke
Nope, this isn't an Onion or SportsPickle.com story. Roger Clemens, at age 50, just joined the Sugar Land Skeeters of the Atlantic League. He will start on Saturday.
Solid Casting
The newest season of Survivor, beginning Sept. 19 on CBS, will feature former Major Leaguer Jeff Kent and Lisa Whelchel, a.k.a., Blair Warner from the Facts of Life. And now you want to hear the Facts of Life theme song, so here you go.

Eddie D., of Detroit, says, "Jimmy, can you please show some Hot Clicks love to my all-time favorite Playmate, Ida Ljungqvist?" Somehow, Ljungqvist, who was the Playmate of the Year in 2009, has never been in Hot Clicks. That changes now, though, since she's getting today's LLOD honors.

We haven't heard much lately about the Kate Upton-Justin Verlander rumors that popped up several weeks ago. However, I feel it's my duty to point out that Upton, a noted Yankees fan, was recently spotted and photographed wearing a Tigers hat.
Sports Video Of The Day
I don't approve of doing The Wave at sporting events, but if you're going to do it, at least spice it up the way Vikings fan did on Saturday by throwing magazines in the air. (Thanks to Tim LaBerge, of Minneapolis, and Ryan Workman, of Boone, Iowa, for the video.)
Prank Video Of The Day
This guy built a gadget that shuts off TVs, so he decided to mess with people. (On a side note, another guy did a similar prank years ago during sporting events.)
