Jimmy is home on Long Island enjoying his early September vacation and will return on Thursday. Week One of the NFL season is in the books and Redskins rookie
Robert Griffin III is the talk of the NFL. The Baylor alum threw for 320 yards and two touchdowns in Washington's 40-32 victory over New Orleans. He also
showed off his brand loyalty (and heart) to Adidas. Patriots quarterback
Tom Brady broke his nose, but still managed to throw two touchdown passes, including one to tight end
Rob Gronkowski that resulted in an
embarrassing failed spike. Browns rookie quarterback
Brandon Weeden got trapped under the American flag before the game,
then threw four interceptions in Cleveland's 17-16 loss to Carolina (
this Trent Richardson run was a bright spot for the Browns). The replacement referees nearly botched the ending of the Seahawks-Cardinals game
by giving Seattle an extra time-out, but the Cardinals held on for a victory. Lastly,
Ryan Tannehill's debut as the new Dolphins quarterback didn't go so well as
the rookie threw three interceptions in a 30-10 loss to Houston. At least
he still has Lauren Tannehill, that is unless she dumped her husband after his performance and ran off with
this Texans fan.
