Nationals outfielder Jayson Werth hit a game-winning home run in the bottom of the ninth inning against the Cardinals Thursday to force a Game 5 in Washington. The game gave us two of the most memorable sports photos you'll ever see -- the one above and this one of a young Nats fan. As for Werth's home run itself, here's a tremendous call by Washington radio play-by-play announcer Charlie Slowes.
Spurs coach Gregg Popovich's recently explained why he's not a nice guy during in-game interviews. He broke it down in as simple a way as possible. Said Popovich: "The quarter ends, you just got outscored by 12 points, they had eight offensive rebounds so the question will be 'You just got out-rebounded by X amount so what are you going to do about it?' I don't know. Am I going to make a trade during the timeout? I don't know."
