I don't want go overboard giving Justin Verlander too much credit for shutting down the anemic Yankees last night because Justin Bieber, Justin Timberlake and ... well, I don't have a third Justin ... could throw a quality start against them right now. However, Verlander continued his masterful playoff pitching with 8 1/3 innings of one-run ball against New York (and showed us his interesting good luck move). The right-hander has given up two runs and 10 hits while striking out 25 in 24 1/3 innings this postseason. And to put the cherry on top, he's dating Kate Upton.
Speaking Of Anemic Yankees...
The day after the New York Post revealed that Alex Rodriguez was flirting with a couple of women during Game 1 of the ALCS, the paper has a follow-up story about one of the women, who just happens to be a bikini model. Meanwhile, A-Rod's girlfriend, former WWE Diva Torrie Wilson, took to Twitter last night to slam the gossip mill.
Come On!
Yes, Matt Millen was one of the worst GM's in NFL history, and it's hard to take him seriously as an ESPN analyst these days, even though he WAS a great player for the 49ers and Raiders. However, current San Francisco linebacker Patrick Willis has no clue who Millen is.

This is more like the "Video of the Day" because several readers e-mailed to let me know about Kelly Monaco's performance on Dancing with the Stars last night. It seems the actress, who did one of the great photoshoots in the history of Maxim, basically forgot to wear clothes during her dance.
All Eyes On St. Louis
The big question before Game 3 of the NLCS this afternoon is whether Giants pitcher Matt Cain will hit Matt Holliday as retaliation for his dirty slide on Marco Scutaro in Game 2. Scutaro (jokingly, we think) said yesterday he'd kick Holliday's ass if the the Cardinals outfielder tries to speak to him. Meanwhile, Cain is playing coy about possibly plunking Holliday.
