I'm sure the SI higher ups are not happy with that headline, but my original choice was "Jim Harbaugh Bet The Seahawks." (So I probably saved the company from a lawsuit, which makes me a hero.) Anyway, in case you missed it last night, the 49ers had a seven-point lead on the Seahawks in a game where the opening line was anywhere between seven and nine depending on where and when you bet it. With less than a minute to play in the game, the Seahawks were flagged for a chop-block in the end zone, which resulted in a safety for the Niners. However, San Francisco coach Jim Harbaugh DECLINED THE PENALTY because he didn't want Seattle to punt after the safety. That gave a win to those who wagered on the Seahawks.. Just a classic, classic gambling story.

RelieverPhil Coke's glove spike after the Tigers swept/embarrassed/dominated the Yankees in the ALCS yesterday was pretty spectacular. We also have to give props to Justin Verlander for videobombing a Miguel Cabrera interview to whisper-chant "MVP."

Speaking of Verlander,Kate Upton just did a new photoshoot for Vogue, so obviously, I'm required by law to link to it.

The Chargers director of public relations penned a piece last night for the team's official website with the headline "Take a Chill Pill." The opening line was "What's with you people?" This should go over swimmingly with the San Diego fan base.

Shaquille O'Neal went on Live With Kelly and Michael (we miss you, Regis) dressed as Prince and sang the classic, When Doves Cry. Strahan also did a truly horrific version of Michael Jackson's Billie Jean.
