It's damn good to be back. You may have noticed Hot Clicks was a bit different the past couple of days, but things should be somewhat back to normal. My home in Long Island is still without power and I can't make it into SI.com's midtown Manhattan office (my parents have power, so, yes, I'm literally writing this from their basement), but I can't complain about anything after seeing the shocking destruction brought forth by Hurricane Sandy. It's hard to comprehend the damage that was done, so as I did
yesterday, I want to provide
a link to the American Red Cross website, where you can make a donation to help with the relief efforts.
As for Hot Clicks, I've been completely out of the loop on sports since Sunday. I have not watched television since Monday afternoon, have barely checked the web and have not read a newspaper. My only connection to the world was Twitter. (
Yes, I was one of those people who tweeted some pics of the aftermath in my neighborhood.) So forgive me if some of the links in this edition are old. I'm going to do my best to empty a very overstuffed inbox.
One thing that is not old, however, is Halloween, which took place yesterday. As you can see above,
The Rock dressed as the Incredible Hulk and it was amazing. Other Halloween costumes of note:
Ludacris dressed as Hornets rookie
Anthony Davis. ... Nationals outfielder
Bryce Harper paid homage to his "That's a clown question, bro" quote and
dressed as a clown. ... Paralympic skier
Josh Sundquist, brought creativity to a new level with his
A Christmas Story leg lamp costume. ...
Here's a young
Josh Hamilton, complete with arm tats. ...
Andy Roddick and
Brooklyn Decker dressed as John and Lorena Bobbit. ... Last, but certainly not least,
we have Internet sensation Paulina Gretzky as a ringmaster.
