One of the NFL items from yesterday that got major play across the Web was Fox NFL Sunday co-host Terry Bradshaw using the phrase "chasing a bucket of chicken" while voicing highlights of a Reggie Bush touchdown run. Bradshaw's co-workers have come out today to clarify the comment and explained that the line was a joke about his co-star, Jimmy Johnson. In the clip, Bradshaw says, "Look at this, Jimmy. Like he was chasing that bucket of chicken that the wind was blowing the other day." The former Cowboys coach tweeted today that Bradshaw was referring to him, and revealed that he eats four pieces of chicken on the set every Sunday. Fox's studio host Curt Menefee was stronger in his defense of Bradshaw. He said the "controversy" is much ado about nothing. When you listen to the full quote, it's not hard to believe the Fox guys. But maybe the lesson here is to leave the inside jokes off the air.

When Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin and Panthers Cam Newton got together on the field after Carolina's win over Washington yesterday, the quarterbacks exchanged pleasantries and phone numbers. Right there. On the field. A number was entered into an iPhone.

Texas A&M freshman quarterback Johnny Manziel, who has the very unfortunate nickname of "Johnny Football," did not have an unfortunate Halloween based on pictures from the party he attended as Scooby Doo.
