How about
a feel-good story as we get ready to close out the year? Texans running back
Arian Foster left last Sunday's game with an irregular heartbeat. This caused great concern for one little girl, who sent Foster words of encouragement via a letter, which her dad passed along via Twitter. Foster not only responded, but is now using the young fan's note as his Twitter avatar.
Two big sports stories came down Thursday afternoon. First, Seahawks cornerback
Richard Sherman won his appeal for his failed drug test, which would've landed him a suspension. Sherman, as everyone does these days, took to Twitter and sent out two short, simple missives.
The first was, "I won."
The second was "Pats fans enjoy ur day." (You'll recall that Sherman tweeted
this photo after the Seahawks beat the Patriots in October.) The other big story today was the Nets firing coach
Avery Johnson. This did not sit well with Johnson's son,
who let loose with a series of tweets.
Chauncey, of Lafayette, Ind., says, "I think you should show
Dwyane Wade's below-the-belt kick of
Ramon Sessions from Wednesday night. Wade has become one of the dirtiest players in the NBA."
Here is the evidence.
