Jimmy needed the day week off to celebrate Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's baby and will be back next Monday. Meanwhile, it's the last day of 2012 and looking back at the year, it's hard to find a more uplifting story that that of Chuck Pagano. In late January, after working nearly 20 years as an assistant with various college and pro teams, Pagano was hired as new head coach of the Colts. He was diagnosed with leukemia in early October, missed 12 games while undergoing treatment and handed over the coaching reigns to assistant Bruce Arians. The team bonded in the coach's absence as players and even cheerleaders shaved their head as a sign of support. By November, doctors announced Pagano's cancer was in remission and he was on the sideline yesterday as the Colts defeated Houston to cap off a surprise 11-5 season. After the game, Pagano gave an emotional speech to the Colts locker room followed by a dance that would make Tom Brady jealous. And the story isn't over yet - the Colts travel to Baltimore next week to take on the Ravens. Texans RB Arian Foster saluted Pagano after scoring a touchdown against the Colts ... Chargers LB Takeo Spikes, in perhaps his final NFL game, was ejected for the first time in his career and celebrated by blasting the ref who ejected him on Twitter ... Packers WR Jordy Nelson stuffed a challenge flag down his pants and hoped the referees wouldn't see ... Giants fullback Henry Hynoski (aka - Hynocerous) turned in one of the best touchdown celebrations of the season ... Adrian Peterson not only came within nine yards of breaking Eric Dickerson's all-time single season rushing record, he wants to challenge Usain Bolt in the 2016 Olympics ... Tony Romo threw three interceptions in the biggest game of the season, which resulted in this nice collection of photoshops and memes ... Valynica Jennings, the sister of Packers WR Greg Jennings, had some not-so-nice things to say about Aaron Rodgers. Ryan Lochte has himself an offer to attend the King's Fork High School prom. On the other side of the spectrum, Michael Phelps has broken up with his girlfriend.

Kentucky lost to rival Louisville on Saturday but they did score one small victory: successfully switching a free throw shooter without the referees noticing.
