BOISE, Idaho (AP) -- Boise State and Utah State will resume their old conference rivalry starting in 2014.

Athletic officials at both schools announced Friday they have reached agreement on a two-year, home-and-home series.

The Broncos and Aggies were once members of the Western Athletic Conference, but Boise State exited the WAC last year and joined the Mountain West Conference. The Broncos are expected to join The Big East next year.

The teams are scheduled to play first in Logan, Utah, then close out the series in Boise in 2015.

The regional rivalry began when the teams first met as nonconference foes in 1975, then squared off as members of the Big West Conference from 1996 through 2000.

Boise State leads the series 13-4 and has won 10 straight.
