Notre Dame's Collinsworth will miss four-six months |


SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) -- Notre Dame safety and special teams player Austin Collinsworth is expected to be out four to six months following surgery on his left shoulder to repair a torn labrum.
Collinsworth, a junior, has played in all 26 of Notre Dame's game the last two seasons, primarily on special teams. He made 16 special teams tackles last season, giving him 22 for his career. He is the son of former NFL star and current TV commentator Cris Collinsworth.
The Irish open training camp on Aug. 4 and begin the 2012 season against Navy on Sept. 1 in Dublin, Ireland.
