Report: ESPN, Champions Bowl deal worth $80 million |


(Reuters) -- ESPN paid $80 million for broadcast rights of the newly created Champions Bowl, matching the sports network's investment in the Rose Bowl.
The Champions Bowl begins play in 2014. It's an alliance between the SEC and Big 12, a New Year's Day game expected to announce a game site by January.
