S. Carolina QB Shaw returns after bruising shoulder |

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- South Carolina quarterback Connor Shaw has returned to the game against Vanderbilt after bruising his throwing shoulder and having to go to the locker room for evaluation.
The junior left the field late in the second quarter after a 2-yard gain to the Vanderbilt 46. He walked to the sideline holding his right arm close to his body and grimaced when examined on the sideline. He returned with 6:02 left in the third quarter and Vanderbilt leading 13-10.
Shaw came in having won eight of his nine career starts. He was 3 of 6 for 23 yards passing and ran nine times for 59 yards before being hurt.
Sophomore Dylan Thompson came in for ninth-ranked South Carolina and had two three-and-outs to start the third quarter. He was sacked twice.
