LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - Nebraska coach Bo Pelini was not injured in an accident that occurred while he was driving to the Omaha area for a booster dinner.

According to Lincoln police, Pelini was driving a 2010 Nissan Armada sport utility vehicle in south Lincoln about 6 p.m. Wednesday when his front end was struck by a Hyundai Tucson SUV attempting to turn left on a yellow signal. The woman driving the Hyundai was not injured but was ticketed.

Pelini's Armada sustained about $3,500 in damage and couldn't be driven.

Nebraska athletic department spokesman Keith Mann said another vehicle was taken to the accident scene and Pelini continued on his way. Mann said Pelini arrived late to the booster dinner in La Vista, where he discussed the 2012 recruiting class.
