FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) -- Darrelle Revis has been ruled out for the New York Jets' game at Pittsburgh with a concussion.

Coach Rex Ryan says the All-Pro cornerback was cleared for non-contact practice for the first time Friday, but will not play against the Steelers. Revis was injured in the season opener last Sunday against Buffalo when teammate Bart Scott accidentally kicked him in the head.

Revis says he "felt good" being back on the field, but knew the "the clock is ticking" on whether he would be available. Ryan previously had said the team would know by Saturday, when the Jets fly to Pittsburgh, whether Revis would join them for the game against the Steelers.

The Jets will also be without tight end Dustin Keller and linebacker Bryan Thomas, both with hamstring issues.
