Jets' Revis to be limited, Keller still sidelined
Coach Rex Ryan said Wednesday that Revis has been cleared for practice, but still not for contact. Revis missed the Jets' game at Pittsburgh on Sunday after suffering what the team called a "minor concussion." He says he was in "a fog" after he was first hurt, but has gotten progressively better since.
His status for the team's game at Miami on Sunday is still uncertain.
Revis needs to be cleared by the team physician and an independent neurological consultant in order to practice with full contact and then play.
Quarterback Mark Sanchez was on the injury report with tightness in his lower back, but Ryan said he didn't think it was serious and expected him to practice fully.
Tight end Dustin Keller was not expected to practice with a hamstring injury that also sidelined him against the Steelers. Ryan says fullback John Conner (right knee), linebacker Bryan Thomas (hamstring) and safety Eric Smith (hip, knee) were also not going to practice. Nose tackle Sione Po'uha (lower back) was also expected to be limited.
