Tennessee Titans quarterback Jake Locker is targeting an Oct. 28 return against Indianapolis from a separated shoulder.

Locker was back at practice Wednesday for the first time since he suffered the injury to his non-throwing shoulder three weeks ago against Houston. He'll miss Sunday's game against Buffalo, but the Titans (2-4) expect him to play against the Colts the following week, TitanInsider.com reported.

Coach Mike Munchak said Locker will be the starter when he's ready to go. Locker has disclocated the shoulder twice this season.

"There wouldn't be any doubt that he'd be the guy playing," Munchak said.

Locker threw some passes in drills Wednesday.

"It was good to see him," Munchak said. "I watched him do individual drills. He threw seven-on-seven for the defense. It was what we hoped he'd be able to handle. Now we just have to see how sore he got and just keep progressing and giving him more to do."

Backup Matt Hasselbeck will make his third straight start Sunday in Locker's place.
