Browns take Arizona CB Trevin Wade in 7th round

BEREA, Ohio (AP) - The Cleveland Browns selected Arizona cornerback Trevin Wade in the seventh round of the NFL draft.

Wade had 52 tackles and two interceptions last season for the Wildcats. The 5-foot-10, 192-pounder battled through two late-season injuries in 2011.

He had 12 career interceptions, but just three in his last two seasons. Wade said he played some nickel back in college and believes he can play there in the pros.

The Browns used one of their four compensatory picks on Wade, who is related to former major league baseball player Hubie Brooks.
