EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) - The New York Giants have taken North Carolina State defensive tackle Markus Kuhn with their final pick in the NFL Draft Saturday.

The Super Bowl champions took seven players in the draft, but only two were on defense. Cornerback Jayron Hosley, who was taken in the third round, was the other.

Kuhn, who is German and speaks three languages, had 45 tackles and 4 1/2 sacks this season.

Giants coach Tom Coughlin described him as a gym rat who has the potential to improve.
