AP Pro32 comments about Bills
NEW YORK (AP) - Comments on the Buffalo Bills by the AP Pro32 panel (ranking in parentheses):
BUFFALO BILLS (22)
Chris Berman (ESPN, 22) - Defense finally showing up.
Clifton Brown (Sporting News, 23) - Mario Williams looks healthier, which makes the Bills defense better.
Rich Gannon (CBS Sports/SiriusXM NFL Radio, 22) - Can they build on last Thursday night's performance? Getting Fred Jackson back can only help.
Bob Glauber (Newsday, 22) - Bills are still far from good, but they kept their flickering playoff hopes alive by beating Miami at home in an ugly one. Now let's see what they do at Indy in a virtual must-win situation.
Rick Gosselin (Dallas Morning News, 26) - The Bills have allowed a league-high 16 touchdowns on the ground. Not surprisingly, they have the AFC's worst run defense.
Clark Judge (CBSSports.com, 20) - Yep, this is what one victory does for these guys. They're not very good. But neither is the bottom of this list.
Ira Kaufman (Tampa Tribune, 24) - One of these decades, the Bills will return to relevancy.
Pat Kirwan (SiriusXM NFL Radio/CBSSports.com, 23) - The team is not meeting expectations but last week they looked like the team Buddy Nix and Chan Gailey are trying to build. They could be a tough out the rest of the way.
John Lynch (Fox Sports, 21) - The Bills have improved. Their defense is showing signs of life and the offense has some juice suddenly.
Alex Marvez (Foxsports.com, 19) - A dominating performance against Miami should go a long way toward boosting the confidence of Dave Wannstedt's beleaguered defense.
Dan Pompei (Chicago Tribune, 21) - The defense finally might be coming to life - about nine games too late.
