NEW YORK (AP) - Comments on the Houston Texans by the AP Pro32 panel (ranking in parentheses):

---

HOUSTON TEXANS (1)

Chris Berman (ESPN, 4) - Must be exhausted.

Clifton Brown (Sporting News, 6) - Their defense looks more vulnerable, but Matt Schaub is on a roll.

Cris Collinsworth (NBC Sports, 3)

Rich Gannon (CBS Sports/SiriusXM NFL Radio, 1) - Impressive win in Detroit on a short week. Two straight wins in overtime shows this team knows how to finish.

Bob Glauber (Newsday, 1) - Another skin-of-their-teeth win in OT for the Texans, who continue to find ways to win despite more shaky moments on defense.

Rick Gosselin (Dallas Morning News, 1) - The Texans are the only team in the NFL unbeaten in conference play at 8-0.

Clark Judge (CBSSports.com, 4) - Forget about the Astrodome. What are they going to do about the holes in the Texans' defense?

Ira Kaufman (Tampa Tribune, 1) - The AFC's most physical club has that No. 1 playoff seed within its grasp.

Pat Kirwan (SiriusXM NFL Radio/CBSSports.com, 2) - There is very little separating the top teams, but the Texans just played 10 quarters of NFL football in five days and injuries started to pop up.

John Lynch (Fox Sports, 1) - They haven't been dominant the last couple of weeks, but they have continued to win.

Alex Marvez (Foxsports.com, 1) - The Texans deserve kudos for winning two overtime games in a four-day span, but a pass defense that surrendered 791 yards passing and six touchdowns against Jacksonville and Detroit will sink Houston in the postseason if not fixed.

Dan Pompei (Chicago Tribune, 1) - By now Jim Schwartz should have received that fruit basket from Gary Kubiak.
