EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) - Chasing both a Pro Bowl dream and a new contract at season's end, Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz is orchestrating another fine season.

Cruz, New York's leading receiver, has 63 catches, 779 yards and eight touchdowns, and the Giants are in first place in the NFC East. Indeed, life is good ... on and off the field.

In fact, Cruz recently corralled a football dropped from a high-flying airplane as part of a campaign to notch that desired Pro Bowl spot. His girlfriend, Elaina Watley, proposed the idea, and Cruz agreed that it couldn't hurt, since he is among the Top 10 receivers in fan balloting

"I just keep pushing forward,'' Cruz said, "go to the next play, the next opportunity to make something happen.''

That comes Monday night, when the Giants (7-4) meet Washington (5-6).
